Description
Successful candidates may be responsible for: Performing general building maintenance. Carpentry repairs. Painting and decorating. Ceiling and drywall repairs. Basic masonry work. Plumbing maintenance. Tiling repairs. Welding. Office furniture repairs. Carpet and blind repairs. Replacing lamps and fittings. Preventative maintenance inspections. Responding to maintenance call-outs. Completing digital job cards and maintenance reports. Maintaining health and safety standards. Supporting specialist maintenance teams. Handymen may also supervise small on-site maintenance teams and assist with contractor coordination.
Requirements
Applicants should have: Minimum 2–3 years' experience in general building or facilities maintenance. Experience in maintenance, construction or property services. Trade qualification or technical certificate (advantageous). Practical experience in: Carpentry Plumbing Painting Ceiling repairs Drywall installation Welding Masonry Tiling Office furniture repairs Knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment. Good understanding of health and safety practices. Ability to use smartphones and digital job card systems. Valid driver's licence. Willingness to travel between client sites.
