Requirements

Basic R425 qualification (i.e. Diploma/Degree in Nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse. Current registration with the South African Nursing Council for 2026. A minimum of eight (08) years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. At least three (3) years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/ recognizable at management level. Diploma in Health Services Management/Nursing Administration will be an added advantage. Exposure working at CHBAH will be added advantage. Preference will be given to the current CHBAH Covid staff. Competencies/Knowledge/Skills: Competencies: leadership, ward management/ward administration, planning, organizing, co-ordination and communication skills. Ability to take charge and make appropriate independent decisions. Display empathy for patients, promoting advocacy and facilitate holistic treatment and care. Knowledge of administrative policies and guidelines. Knowledge of legal prescripts that regulate nursing and health services. Computer literacy i.e. (Ms Word, Power Point). Ability to work independently and innovatively. Facilitation and presentation skills, problem solving and decision-making skills.
