Tembisa SAPS observes Women's Month and embarks on Operation Basadi

Details Media Statement South African Police Service Office of the Provincial Commissioner Gauteng TEMBISA - Ekurhuleni District Commissioner, Major General Anna Sithole along with SAPS Members, Gauteng Traffic, Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department, POWA, Employee Health and Wellness, Gender-Based Violence Brigades, Pastors from the Community and Community members, Tembisa Councillor Dlamini, Women Bikers, Tembisa Artist Mfanelo, and other stakeholders gathered today at Mutsu Hall in support of Womenโ€™s Month. The event was graced by the presence of women who were at the forefront to ensure the exceptional work that women are doing. One of the Social workers from POWA - Koketso Mantati encouraged women who were abused to come forward and not to protect the perpetrators. She further encouraged them to be brave and remain phenomenal. Captain Mumsy Sibanyoni from Employee Health and Wellness encouraged those who are hurt to heal, take care of themselves and to support each other. Ekurhuleni District Commissioner, Major General Anna Sithole thanked Tembisa Station Commander for taking Women's Month seriously and also attending the event as a male Counterpart. She encouraged the women to bright in the corner wherever they are, to take risks, to walk with pride, not to be misused by men superiors to get positions at work places, since women are powerful and capable of being in any position. She also singled out women leaders like MEC Faith Mazibuko and Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma as leaders who are leading with diligence. The day started off by the roadblocks led by women as law enforcers.
